This Old Guitar...

Recently I finally got around to transferring all the pictures I have taken over the years onto my laptop and then onto an external hard drive (just in case).  So last night as I was going through them I stumbled on these little gems that you can see below, no they are not gems because I took them (I don't consider myself to be good at taking pictures at all!), but because....I mean....look at them....it's a freaking cute kitty and a very strange man who wanders the streets of down town Ledras street (a very famous street in Nicosia that's known for its shopping/cafes/bars/pubs/restaurants, all of which are exceptionally good!).

Now unfortunately the kitty is no longer with us since she has chosen to spread her paws and walk away but she will always be remembered for her unbelievable cuteness and her desire to bite anyone and everyone who tried to pet her.  And as for the man...well he is probably still wandering the streets of Ledras with his old guitar.

Hope you like them!

Puppy eyes and Ice skating?

I literally hate that I can only post something once every month now because of my job (which I don't even like...).  I wish I could be out taking pictures all day and then sharing them with the few people who actually read my blog, but alas, because I get off of work pretty late I can only take the time to take pictures during the weekend, but I'm so tired by then that I usually just stay home in my pj's, fun right?

Since I haven't posted something in so long (again), I thought that I could just include some random pictures that more or less manifest what I have been up to!

Hope you like them :)

Just a leafy day

Yeap...ice skating IS so much fun!

I pity the people who are on this ride....which people you say?

These ones!

Playing around with my new lens :)

A bit of a Post-Christmas Christmas Spirit!

Wow, I have not written a blog post in forever!!! So I decided to take a few pictures of our Christmas tree, some ornaments and of course of my little baby boy, just to keep the Christmas spirit alive for a little while longer even though the one Christmas day that we get in the year has come and gone.

My mom was in charge of the lights this year and as soon as she saw the first picture she was like ''why is it so dark at the bottom?'', ''because you didn't put any lights there!'' I of course said, but I think it turned out alright anyway :)

Hope you like them!

Our beautiful Christmas tree...minus some lights at the bottom!

And being disappointed for not finding any!

Cats will be cats...

Ok so fall/winter time is not the most ideal time for picture taking.  The sun is gone by 4 o' clock, it's cloudy most of the time, it rains quite a bit, so the circumstances are not ideal for capturing a glorious sunset or anything worth photographing for that matter.

So I had decided to give up for now, seeing that the weather was so gloomy buuuut as I stepped into my back yard and saw a cat casually laying down on the brick wall in the position you are seeing below, I immediately ran back to my room, grabbed my camera and various other opportunities presented themselves besides the original kitty that initiated the photo shoot.

Hope you like them!

What? Can't a cat have a minute to relax around here?

See what tricks I can do? I can touch my nose with my tongue!

Hold on, itchy spot!

If I could just get this open...

Almost there...

Got it!

''Up through the atmosphere, Up where the air is clear'' (name that song ;) )

After having a few horrible days at work, yes those days that you just come back home and burst into tears, I decided that I needed to go on a little weekend trip to Paphos.  Not too far away from Nicosia but when you live in Cyprus anything that's 10 minutes away from your house, it's far away! Had a lovely weekend there with two of my very good friends from uni and then on my way back home I decided to stop in Stavrovouni where you basically drive up a mountain and you can find a monastery there.

The view from up there is incredible and I was lucky enough to catch the glorious sunset :)  So, the pictures that follow are basically the sunset from up high, the view from the mountain and the monastery!

Hope you like them :)

New cats in town...and my dog's reaction to them!

Well long time no see!!! I was having a bit of a sick day today (which means day off of work) so I decided to take my camera, go out to my back yard and just take some pictures of the adorableness that was going on outside.

If you remember Mindy from some older posts, you won't be seeing her again most probably since she has decided that it was time for her to open her paws and move...But there are some new cats in town which wouldn't let me go near them but I still managed to take a few shots from afar!

Hope you like them :)

Who do you think won?

New cats in town!

The leader of the gang

Not part of the gang, just a cuddly cat!

Hmmm...I don't think I've got enough toys...

What? You want me to pose for you?

Fine...

My dog...and his little panda bear!

Aaah my little doggy, one of the many things that brings joy to my life (occasionally that is, when he is not being a little rascal).  This dog is THE most depressed dog you will have ever seen, seriously!  I adopted him from a shelter about a year ago and in the beginning I thought that he was just quiet because he was shy...well that was partly true since now he can be VERY mischievous and yet very depressed at times.

Whenever people come to visit and meet Benny for the very first time they are always like ''what is wrong with this dog? Why is he so depressed?''....I don't know! Regardless, when he sees a new toy he gets extremely excited, so just the other day I gave him a little panda bear and he thoroughly enjoyed playing with it!

Here are a few pictures of his panda bear play time :)

I have never watched the Godfather but this is what I imagine a doggy Godfather would look like!
